French freediver sets new world record

Arnaud Jerald from France just broke a freediving world record, as he descended to 112 m in Kalamata, Greece during a competition.

Twenty athletes took part in the European Cup, which took place from the 12th to 16th of September.

The 24-year-old dived 112 meters in 3 minutes and 24 seconds, breaking the previous world record which stood at 111 meters.

The record was broken in the constant weight freediving modality with bifins.
