While French racing driver Esteban Ocon on Sunday registered a surprising maiden win at the thrilling Hungarian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton finished third to claim the F1 Championship lead from Max Verstappen. The 24-year-old Ocon who competes for Alpine had never led a lap in all his 77 previous races. However, he dominated the complete event.
While Sebastian Vettel followed Ocon, to attain the 2nd spot, he was later disqualified for fuel-rules breach as Hamilton grabbed the 2nd position. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz got the third spot.
Hamilton will now compete for his 100th win on August 29th at the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa.
