FIFA WC Qualifiers: India's Anirudh Thapa tests Covid-19 positive

Indian football team's midfielder Anirudh Thapa has tested positive for Covid-19. He is in quarantine in a separate hotel room at their team hotel in Doha where India are playing their FIFA World Cup 2022 and Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers.

According to PTI, Anirudh tested positive on Thursday and didn't take part in India's match against Asian champions Qatar on Thursday. Anirudh Thapa will be tested again for Covid-19 in a few days. The Chennaiyin FC midfielder has played over 20 matches and is an integral member of the senior national team.
