Yuzvendra Chahal has opened up about the pain of getting dropped from Team India's T20 World Cup 2021 squad despite having an excellent 2nd leg of the IPL in UAE.

In an interview to the Times of India, Chahal said "I was not dropped in four years and then I got dropped for such a marquee event. I felt really bad and was down for 2-3 days" The 31-year-old added that he did get confused about how he should approach his bowling but realised that he couldn't afford to become a bowler he never was. "I knew that the 2nd-leg of the IPL was round the corner, so I decided to back my strengths and overcome the confusion," added Chahal.

Chahal has been India's go-to spinner in the last 4 years but his omission from the World T20 squad had left many cricket experts in shock.
