Fast & furious: Farmers up the ante on Kisan Diwas

Farmers protesting against the new farm laws have intensified their agitation on the occasion of Kisan Diwas today. The farmers will skip lunch as a symbolic protest and have urged people to skip a meal to show solidarity with farmers. From December 25 to 27, farmers will halt toll collection in Haryana. The Farmers have also decided to bang plates during PM Modi’s Mann ki Baat on December 27. About 32 farmer union leaders will meet today to decide the next course of action — pertaining to further talks with the government.
