Farmers' protest becomes stage for Opposition unity

Opposition parties turned the farmers protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi into a show of strength against the BJP govt. Congress chief Rahul Gandhi was joined by Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal and CPI(M) chief Sitaram Yechury. Regional leaders like NCP chief Sharad Pawar, JDU's KC Tyagi also took on the govt's anti-farmer policies. The AIADMK, the DMK, and the BSP skipped the event.
