Farmers' chakka jam: 50,000 security personnel deployed in Delhi-NCR

Taking no chances after the violence that erupted during the farmers Republic Day tractor rally, the Centre has deployed 50,000 personnel of Delhi Police, Paramilitary & Reserve Forces in Delhi-NCR region for security during the farmers chakka jam today. Police said that at least 12 metro stations in the national capital have been put on alert for closing the entry & exit, in view of any disturbance. Although farmers have mad eit clear that the highway blockade won't affect Delhi and no protesters will enter the Capital, the Centre is not taking any chances.
