Farmers brave tear gas, lathi charge to join tractor rally

The Delhi Police on Tuesday morning used tear gas shells and lathi-charged protesting farmers as thousands of them broke barricades on Delhi borders to enter the Capital to participate in the tractor rally on Republic Day. Farmers began their tractor parade from the Delhi borders to mark two months of protests against the new farm laws. From early morning the highways around Delhi were lined with thousands of tractors and farmers who came for the rally. Protesting farmers broke police barricades at the Singhu and Tikri borders as they were stopped by the police.
