Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen won a thrilling French Grand Prix on Sunday, to extend his lead over rival Lewis Hamilton to 12 points.
Formula One championship leader Verstappen overtook Lewis Hamilton on the penultimate lap. A bonus point for the fastest lap made it a great day for Red Bull, which had never beaten Mercedes on the Paul Ricard circuit. Verstappen has 131 points while Hamilton has 119 after seven races.
Sergio Perez finished 3rd and strengthened Red Bull’s lead in the constructors’ championship.
