People who use smartphones and social media excessively are more likely to struggle with sleep and may even face issues like teeth grinding, a new research by the Tel Aviv University has found.

Scientists studied the behaviour of people using regular smartphones compared to those using using phones without accessibility to apps. They concluded that smartphone users would grind their teeth during the day and only 6% of other phone users did that.

Among smartphone users, 20% reported poor sleep schedule including waking up at night due to fear of missing out. The survey is aimed at urging people to limit their social media usage.
