Andrey Mostovoy has been dropped from the Russian national side ahead of the Euro 2020 which is scheduled to begin on Friday. The 23-year-old winger tested positive for novel coronavirus on Friday.
The Russian team took to Twitter to inform about the development. The team posted that Mostovoy has been replaced by Roman Evgeniev in connection with an unfavourable result of RTPCR testing.
Russia will start its campaign on Saturday with a match against Belgium.
Before this, some Sweden and Spanish players also tested positive. However their management did not replace the players.
