A nervy start and a scintillating finish! Tuesday's Euro 2020 fixture between Hungary and Portugal that was played in front of 60,000 fans turned on its head in a mere 10 mins as Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo created history at the Puskas Arena in Budapest.
In his historic 5th appearance for his nation, Ronaldo netted a brace as he became the highest goalscorer in European Championship.
Hungary fans were reduced to tears when Raphael Guerriero broke the deadlock in the 84th minute. This was followed by Ronaldo capitalising on a penalty with his record-breaking 10th goal in the competition in 87th min. The Juventus ace's 11th goal came minutes later when he scored his 2nd goal of the match in the stoppage time.
With the brace, 36-year-old's international goal tally goes up to 106.
Hunagry will next play France on Saturday and Portugal is set to face Germany.
