New Delhi, Aug 15 (PTI) Streaming giant Prime Video has officially announced that the eagerly anticipated second season of the post-apocalyptic saga “Fallout” will make its grand debut on December 17.

Helmed by showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the new season will unfold with a fresh episode each week, concluding with the season finale on February 4, 2026. Viewers can catch the series in its original English language, along with dubbed versions available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, according to a press statement.

Inspired by the hit video game series of the same name, "Fallout" narrates a gripping tale of disparity in a desolate world where resources are scarce. After its first season dropped in April 2024 on the streaming platform, the show garnered critical acclaim and admiration from audiences alike.

The plot unravels two centuries post-apocalypse, as residents of opulent fallout shelters are compelled to venture back into the radioactive wasteland their forebears left behind. To their astonishment, they encounter a complex, bizarre, and brutally violent world.

The upcoming season picks up the narrative threads in the wake of an epic first-season finale, leading audiences on an enthralling journey from the Mojave wasteland to the decayed metropolis of New Vegas.

The official trailer for season two was launched at the opening night of 2025 Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, with lead actors Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten on hand to share insights about their characters Lucy and Maximus. The trailer also teases a new addition to the cast, Justin Theroux, who steps into the role of Robert House.

Fans can expect to see returning actors Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins. They will be joined by Macaulay Culkin, portraying a “crazy genius-type character”.

Produced by Kilter Films in collaboration with Bethesda Game Studios and Amazon MGM Studios, “Fallout” promises to take viewers on an unforgettable journey through its dystopian landscape.
