Mumbai, Sep 3 (PTI) Director Vikram Bhatt’s latest film, “Haunted: Ghosts of the Past”, is slated for theatrical release on November 21, as announced by the makers on Wednesday.

This film is a sequel to Vikram Bhatt’s successful 2011 venture, “Haunted – 3D”.

Vikram Bhatt describes his new film as another of his romanticised horror tales, incorporating elements of songs, intrigue, a love story and chilling moments. “Haunted - Ghosts of the Past” promises a generous helping of horror coupled with a moving love story, diverging from the current trend of horror-comedies.

Bhatt acknowledges the valuable contributions of Mahesh Bhatt and producer Anand Pandit, who bring their expertise to the film’s narrative.

Described as a spine-tingling horror, the film follows the journey of a man who arrives at a remote mansion nestled in the mountains of India, trying to leave his past behind. He soon discovers the mansion houses pain, fear, and dark secrets that are ready to confront him. The cast includes Mimoh Chakraborty, son of legendary actor Mithun Chakraborty, reprising his role from the original, along with Chetna Pande.

The film’s production is led by Pandit, Rakesh Juneja, and Shwetambari Bhatt, with co-production by Roopa Pandit, Dilipsoni Jaiswal, Rahul V Dubey, Manish Bhushan Mishra, Mehboob Ansari, and Sanjay Singh. Global distribution is handled by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures.

Expressing excitement, producer Anand Pandit shared his enthusiasm for collaborating once again with Mahesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt after their previous success with “1920”, stating, “I’m anticipating a thrilling experience for the audience in theatres as Vikram delivers his finest work with this film.”
