Mumbai, Sep 8 (PTI) After the massive success of "Hanu-Man," Telugu star Teja Sajja is poised to make waves once again with "Mirai: Super Yodha," an action-packed adventure film. The movie is being presented in Hindi by the renowned filmmaker Karan Johar, and Sajja hopes it will resonate with audiences across various regions. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film boasts an ensemble cast, including Manchu Manoj, Ritika Nayak, Shriya Saran, Jagapathi Babu, and Jayaram. Teja Sajja shared that the widespread acclaim of "Hanu-Man" was inspiring. However, he insists that his goal isn't to create formulaic films for a pan-India audience. "My intention isn't to figure out how to appeal to audiences all over India," Sajja said in an interview with PTI. "I'm making a Telugu film with our sensibilities. If it is accepted and celebrated by audiences in other languages, especially Hindi, that's a bonus for us." "Mirai" is described as an action adventure with a devotional aspect that will appeal to viewers of all ages. Sajja has been involved in the project since its early stages. "When Karthik sir first narrated the initial idea of 20-30 minutes to me, I was thrilled," he recalled. "He later gave the full narration in 2022, and I was on board." When asked about Karan Johar's involvement, Sajja spoke highly of the director and his Dharma Productions team. "They expressed interest in distributing the film," Sajja explained. "Upon meeting Karan sir, he was impressed by what we accomplished. He expressed a desire not just to distribute but to present the film to the northern audience, offering us a broader platform to showcase our skills." This association with Johar brings additional responsibility for Sajja to meet expectations. Sajja is open to working in various film industries if presented with compelling scripts. "I'm eager to collaborate and am learning different languages. I'm proficient in Hindi and am picking up other South Indian languages," he said. Looking ahead, he expressed a strong desire to work with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. “Mirai: Super Yodha” is produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad of People Media Factory, with Gattamneni writing the screenplay and Manibabu Karanam crafting the dialogues. The film is slated for release on Sep 12 in several languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi, and even Chinese.
