New York City [US], May 5 (ANI): A$AP Rocky publicly celebrated his partner Rihanna as the couple made a high-profile appearance at the 2026 Met Gala, with the rapper saying she was "shining like a diamond" on fashion's biggest night.
Arriving together on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 4, the couple briefly spoke to reporters about this year's "Costume Art" theme.
As per People magazine, Rihanna, quipped that she is the "art and the artist" while showcasing her gold dramatic Maison Margiela gown.
Rocky, praised her look, saying she was "shining like a diamond."
Rocky also spoke candidly about their relationship, telling that "it feels amazing" to be loved by a Black woman, adding that "nothing else compares," as per People magazine.
Rihanna's sculptural ensemble stood out for its structured bodice, creating a dress-within-a-dress illusion. The metallic fabric resembled liquid gold, with a central design appearing to drip with jewels.
She completed the look with ear cuffs, rings, frosty eye makeup, and a hairstyle accented with gold hardware.
Rocky complemented the moment in a baby pink coat featuring a feathered brooch, an apparent nod to his role as a father to a daughter. He paired the statement jacket with a bow tie and loafers.
The couple, among the Met Gala's most closely watched attendees, continue to command attention at the annual fundraiser.
Rihanna has attended the event more than a dozen times since her debut in 2009, often making memorable late arrivals.
Beyond fashion, the pair recently expanded their family. The nine-time Grammy winner and Rocky welcomed their third child, daughter Rocki, on September 13, 2025.
They are also parents to sons RZA, born in 2022, and Riot, born in 2023.
Earlier, a source told People magazine that Rihanna was "over the moon" following her daughter's birth.
"She's obviously so grateful for her boys, all three of them, but she's been ready for some more girly energy," the source said, adding, "She's over the moon about her baby girl."
The insider added, "It's already brought a whole new energy to the family. She's always dreamed of having a little girl. She's been shopping a lot and is so excited about dressing her daughter. It's a whole new world for her."
This year's Met Gala was co-chaired by prominent figures including Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour.
The 2026 theme, 'Costume Art,' curated by Andrew Bolton, explored the relationship between clothing and the human form, with exhibits spanning themes from the naked body to pregnancy and ageing. (ANI)
