New Delhi, Oct 27 (PTI) South Indian cinema sensation Parvathy Thiruvothu is set to headline director Don Palathara's upcoming film.
Thiruvothu will share the screen with the respected filmmaker-actor Dileesh Pothan in this Malayalam project, as announced in a recent press release.
Don Palathara is celebrated for his films rich in emotional nuances and insightful explorations of human connections, exemplified by works like "Family," "Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam," and "1956, Central Travancore."
Meanwhile, Thiruvothu has gained acclaim for her roles in "Uyare," "Take Off," and "Ullozhukku."
This venture marks Thiruvothu's first collaboration with both Palathara and Pothan. While plot specifics remain undisclosed, the film is anticipated to be an intense emotional drama. It will be filmed extensively in Kerala and is scheduled to commence shooting soon.
Thiruvothu expressed her admiration for Palathara's body of work and said collaborating with him had been a longstanding aspiration.
"Don Palathara’s films are a reflection of how we live and love, often devoid of judgment or noise. Stepping into such narratives as an actor is immensely freeing. His cinematic approach is powerfully meditative, prompting viewers to introspect on our lives. As an actor, this environment is both thrilling and challenging as it requires unlearning the conventional and merely being present." Thiruvothu remarked in the statement.
"I have wanted to work with him for quite some time, and it’s exhilarating that this opportunity has come my way. Sharing the screen with Dileesh, whose artistic sensitivity I've admired for years, is akin to becoming a student once more," she added.
In addition to this project, Thiruvothu will star in Hrithik Roshan's debut production, "Storm," and is set to reunite with director Bejoy Nambiar, 13 years after they collaborated on "Maryan."
