BTS, under BigHit Music's confirmation in 2022, began their military enlistment process. Jin, J-hope, and Suga have completed their service, while the remaining four members are preparing to enlist.
In a statement, BigHit Music wrote, ‘Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to inform our fans that RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook have initiated the military enlistment process (sic).’
The statement further informed, ‘The artists are preparing to fulfill their military service duties. We will inform you of further updates in due course. We ask you for your continued love and support for RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook until they complete their military service and safely return (sic).’
They mentioned that the company ‘will spare no effort in providing support for our artists (sic).’
This decision aligns with South Korea's mandatory military service requirements. Despite individual enlistments, the group maintains a dedicated fan base and ongoing projects.
The members continue to engage in music, collaborations, and global initiatives, ensuring their presence remains felt during their absence.
This strategic approach ensures BTS's longevity and relevance within the music industry while fulfilling their national duty.
Fans globally support the members as they navigate their military service, eagerly awaiting their return to the group's activities.
Ahead of their enlistment, all the members released their solo albums and promoted them in their own unique style. BTS made its debut in 2013.
