New Delhi, Sep 22 (PTI) "Jolly LLB 3", starring Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar, has made an impressive start at the domestic box office, crossing the Rs 50 crore nett milestone within its first three days of release. The film hit theatres on September 19 and is the much-anticipated third installment in the popular courtroom comedy series that began in 2013 with "Jolly LLB". The original film featured Arshad Warsi portraying Jolly Tyagi, a less-than-successful lawyer from Meerut. This was followed by 2017's "Jolly LLB 2", where Kumar played Jolly Mishra, a struggling lawyer from Kanpur. According to trade tracking website Sacnilk, "Jolly LLB 3" amassed a total of Rs 53.5 crore nett at the domestic box office during its opening weekend, with the third day alone contributing Rs 21 crore nett.
