In a surprise for his fans, Eminem has officially announced his 12th studio album, 'The Death of Slim Shady' (Coup De Grâce). The upcoming album will be released in the summer of 2024. The rapper has also shared a teaser of the madness that's about to unfold, igniting a global fan frenzy.
The highly anticipated project was unveiled just ahead of Eminem's unexpected appearance at the NFL Draft, leaving fans electrified with anticipation, as per Variety. The revelation was accompanied by a riveting trailer that has now taken the internet by storm.
The teaser showcases a compelling narrative by a true crime reporter, delving into the demise of Eminem's alter ego, Slim Shady. "Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies," the narrator elucidates, setting the stage for an intriguing storyline. It is then that Eminem himself makes a brief appearance and says, “I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.” “THE DEATH OF SLIM SHADY (COUP DE GRÂCE). Summer 2024,” the rapper wrote on Instagram.
Notably, ' The Death of Slim Shady' is the follow-up to the rapper's 11th studio album, Music to Be Murdered By (2020). The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. Since then, the 51-year-old has remained secretive regarding his forthcoming projects.
