The 76th Cannes Film Festival will be returning to the French Riviera this week and moviegoers from all over the world are preparing for the industry's premier event. The prestigious festival will be unrolled welcoming several well-known faces like Natalie Portman, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Harrison Ford.
The Country of Honor this year is Spain. Last year, it was India.

Place and date
The Cannes Film Festival is set to run from May 16 to May 27 in Cannes on the French Riviera, France.
Jury members
The jury comprises French actor Denis Menochet, American actress Brie Larson, Moroccan filmmaker Maryam Touzani, Brazilian filmmaker Rungano Nyoni, American actor-director Paul Dano, Afghan writer-director Atiq Rahimi, Argentinian filmmaker Damian Szifron, and French director Julia Ducouranu.
Attendees this year
Many Indian celebrities including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have attended the film festival over the years. This year, actors Anushka Sharma and Manushi Chillar will be making their debut.
Indian films at the festival
Anurag Kashyap's ‘Kennedy’ will be screened in the Midnight Screenings section at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. Besides this, ‘Agra’, ‘Firebrand’, and ‘Ishanou’ will also be screened this year. Many other international films have also been selected for the event.
Prizes
The Palme d'Or is given out at the Cannes Film Festival. The best director, The Grand Prix, best actor, jury prize, best script, and best short film are among the additional awards.
Who will receive the lifetime achievement award?
Michael Douglas will receive the honorary Palme d’Or for his lifetime achievement.
