Actor Sunny Deol is all set to reprise his role as Tara Singh in ‘Gadar 2’, a sequel to his 2011 hit ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. The movie will release in theatres on August 11 along with Akshay Kumar’s ‘OMG 2’.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh has reported on social media that ‘Gadar 2’ has already sold over 1.3 lakh tickets for day one.

Adarsh added that the advance ticket sale of ‘Gadar 2’ in the mass circuits is fantastic. According to film trade analyst Sumit Kadel, the advance ticket sales of ‘Gadar 2’ in the single-screen cinemas are better than this year’s biggest hit, ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan.
‘Gadar 2’ sees Tara Singh crossing the border and going to Pakistan to rescue his son, played by Utkarsh Sharma. Directed by Anil Sharma, the film features the recreated version of the most loved song of its prequel, ‘Main Nikla Gaddi Le Ke’.
