Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Adipurush’, which was released in theatres on June 16, has been facing massive criticism on social media for its poor VFX and cringeworthy dialogues.
A plea has also been filed in Delhi HC against the epic fantasy, directed by Om Raut, which is an interpretation of Ramayana.
The plea says the mythological drama hurts the sentiments of the Hindu community.
Twitter users opposed the use of modern-day slang like ‘jali kya’ in a Ramayan adaptation and shared several samples online.
While some felt it was inappropriate, others said it did not fit the tenor of the film.
Voicing displeasure, one user asked if makers are proud of these dialogues and want kids to see this?
The film has also become fodder for memes on social media.
Viewers are praising the VFX of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Ra. One’ after watching ‘Adipurush’.
‘Adipurush’ was released in both 2D and 3D, and in five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The film received a tremendous response via advanced booking and is expected to open with huge numbers.
