England vs India: Stokes back in the Test squad, Archer and Woakes miss out

England have announced a 17-member squad for the first two Tests against India. While Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow have made a comeback in the Test squad, Chris Woakes and Jofra Archer have missed out.

Jofra Archer, recuperating from elbow surgery, and Chris Woakes, suffering from bruised heel, are still not match-fit to be included.

Pacer Ollie Robinson, who was earlier suspended for his seven-year-old racist tweets has also been included in the squad. 

The other players who have been included in the Joe Root-led side are  James Anderson, Dom Bess, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Zak Crawley, Sam Curran, Haseeb Hameed, Dan Lawrence, Jack Leach, Ollie Pope, Dom Sibley, Mark Wood

The first Test starts in Nottingham on August 4 while the second match will be played at the Lord's from August 12-16.
