Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's family criticized BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut for saying Netaji was the first Prime Minister of India.
Chandra Kumar Bose, Netaji's grand-nephew, said it's wrong to twist history for political gain. He praised Netaji's leadership in bringing together all Indian communities for freedom.
In another post, he wrote, "Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was a political thinker, soldier, statesman, visionary and the 1st PM of undivided India. The only leader who could unite all communities as Bharatiyas to fight for India’s freedom. Real respect to the leader would be to follow his inclusive ideology."
Chandra Kumar Bose quit BJP last year due to differences in principles. His comments came after Kangana defended herself on social media against criticism for calling Netaji the first PM. She said that Netaji declared himself the first Prime Minister while forming the Azad Hind government in 1943.
Trolls targeted Kangana after a video of her making the statement surfaced. She responded on X, "If I speak way ahead of your IQ you assume I must be uninformed, well the joke is on you and it’s a lame one!! (yawn)."
