The India Story| Six more nations join BRICS bloc

The 15th BRICS summit concluded in Johannasburg with the decision to add six more members to the group. These countries are Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Ethiopia and Argentina. This is the first expansion of the group since 2010 when South Africa joined the bloc of four nations- India, Brazil, Russia and China. On The India Story this week, Vikram Chandra decodes the need for expanding BRICS grouping and what is the significance of this expansion for India with former Ambassador, Navdeep Suri and author and historian Zorawar Dulet Singh. 

Also on the show, India has created history by becoming the first country to land on the moon's south pole. The successful landing was watched by millions and consolidated India's place as one of the four countries to land a spacecraft on the lunar surface after US, Soviet Union and China.
