Eat walnuts to curb inflammation and fight heart disease: study

A study from a randomised controlled trial has found that regularly consuming walnuts may help fight inflammation, especially in people in their 70s and 80s. 

Inflammation is an essential factor when it comes to lowering heart disease risk, the research that was part of the Walnuts and Healthy Aging (WAHA) study found. 

Those who consumed walnuts regularly reported a significant reduction in inflammation by as much as 11.5% revealed the study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
