E3 2021, gaming’s biggest expo, kicked off with Ubisoft’s press conference, where the game publisher showed off its upcoming games and services.
A new game based on James Cameron’s Avatar film is in development at the French studio, called Frontiers of Pandora. The open world action-adventure game will see players explore a living and reactive world inhabited by unique creatures and new characters.
Ubisoft also announced Rocksmith+, a subscription service which will help players learn the guitar using interactive gameplay. Players need to bring their own guitar and amp, but Rocksmith+ works on any system, and does not need additional hardware.
The publisher also showed off trailers for its upcoming AAA games Far Cry 6, Rider’s Republic, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, and announced Rainbow Six Extraction, a three-player co-operative shooter with an emphasis on stealth.
