An e-cycle sharing system may soon be a reality in South Delhi after a proposal for the project received the municipal corporation panel chief's nod.

A policy for installation and operation of public e-bike, e-cycle or cycle transportation sharing system has been approved by the civic body.

Those interested may pick up these bikes from one station and return them to another.

The initiative, authorities hope, will encourage sustainable transport options and enhance last mile connectivity. A mobile app or a wireless tracking system will keep a track of where the vehicle is picked up from and dropped at.
