After being postponed and then cancelled, one of the fashion world's biggest nights, the Met Gala is back and is going to double down on celebrations this time.

New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced that the annual fashion event will be organised in September this year and then again on its usual slot on the first Monday in May in 2022.

The September 13 celebration will be a more "intimate" one but both the events will highlight the same exhibit that is a survey of American fashion over the years.

Titled “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” the retrospective exhibition marks the 75th anniversary of the museum’s Costume Institute.
