'Dogecoin to the moon'; ₹1 lakh invested this year would be ₹1.2 crore

Dogecoin continues its journey 'to the moon' as the cryptocurrency surged over 12,000% since the beginning of 2021. 

The meme-coin touched an all-time high of $0.72 in the late trading session on Wednesday as per the cryptocurrency exchange WazirX.

As per CNBC calculation, a $1,000 Dogecoin purchase on January 1, 2021, would be worth over $120,000 on Wednesday. In domestic currency terms, an investment of ₹1 lakh in January would be around ₹1.2 crore now.
