DGFT extends ban on Chinese milk products

Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has initiated an extended ban on the import of Chinese milk and milk products that were found contaminated with the chemical melamine. The chemical is added to enhance the protein content of the product. The ban also includes chocolates and chocolate-based products and will be applicable till April 2019.
