Detox water is simply water that has been infused with fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs and is also known as infused water.

We often turn to it to hydrate ourselves on a hot summer day. But it is important to know certain facts about it and debunk some myths associated with drinking detox water.

It is believed that detox water cleanses the body, aiding weight loss, improving complexion and promotes digestive health. However, it is essential to note that a lot of these benefits come from water and not the ingredients infused in it.

According to experts, some benefits that you can actually get include boosting energy levels and improving digestion.

However, the claims about detox water cannot be confirmed as no study says so. There are no claims to back the idea that infused water improves complexion. It does hydrate the skin but cannot change its appearance.

So if you get bored of drinking plain water, infusing it is a good idea as it is a healthy alternative to sugary drinks to crave your thirst.
