Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 3.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning. On Monday, the minimum temperature was 5.6 degrees Celsius. Heavy snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and icy winds blowing from the hills have sent the mercury tumbling in most parts of North and Northwest India. The IMD has predicted that the cold wave in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan and Himachal is likely to continue till December 31. The air quality in Delhi/NCR has improved compared to last week mainly due to moderate winds across the cities.
