Delhi: Man killed & wife shot 5 times, cops suspect honour killing

In a suspected case of honour killing, a 23-year-old man was shot dead in Delhi's Dwarka area and his wife severely injured on Thursday night, police said.

The couple had eloped last year against their families' wishes, the police said.

Vinay Dahiya of Haryana's Sonipat and his 19-year-old wife Kiran Dahiya were shot at by six to seven people inside their rented accommodation in Amberhai village of Dwarka, police officials said.

Vinay Dahiya sustained four bullet injuries which led to his death, while Kiran Dahiya was shot five times and she is undergoing treatment.
