The Delhi government has extended the lockdown in the capital city by another week.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in a tweet that the coronavirus continues to wreak havoc and therefore the lockdown which was first implemented this year on April 19 has been extended.

The frightening surge in Covid-19 cases over the past weeks has brought the city's healthcare system to its knees.
