The Delhi Government on Saturday approved the formation of the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE). Delhi will have its own school education board like other states, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Friday. Kejriwal said that Delhi has at least 1,000 government and 1,700 private schools affiliated to CBSE, of which 20-25 schools will be taken under the Delhi Board. The Board will bring in best international practices and high-end techniques in school education, the Chief Minister said. It will aim at imparting such education that prepares "fiercely patriotic" and self-dependent students.
