The police told a Delhi court Monday that Deep Sidhu who has been lodged in jail in connection with the Red Fort violence on Jan 26 intended to ‘create violence’ and ‘disregard the national flag’. Opposing Punjabi actor’s bail, the prosecutor, appearing on behalf of Delhi Police, submitted video transcripts of Sidhu. The prosecutor claimed Sidhu was aware of the protesters’ plans and that he has admitted breaking barricades during the protests. The court was informed about a video in which Sidhu is seen standing on the tractor calling other farmer leaders to reach Red Fort. Sidhu is also believed to be seen instigating co-accused Jugraj Singh to hoist the Nishan Sahib flag.
