With reports that many international may not return to play the reminder of the IPL in UAE doing the rounds, Cricket Australia chief executive Nick Hockley on Monday said the governing body is yet to have a discussion about their players joining the IPL franchises again.
In a chat with ESPNcricinfo, he said that their players returning from the IPL are clearly quite shaken by the experience, and are very appreciative to be back home. So, their first priority is to make sure they are reunited with their families. Hockley added that they also have a tour to prepare for in the West Indies.
Though Australia do not have any international commitment when the IPL resumes in the UAE in mid-September, but there are concerns that spending time in bio-bubbles one after another could affect players' mental health.
