The Delhi and Districts Cricket Association has offered the premises of the Arun Jaitley Stadium to be used as a Covid-19 vaccination centre, the state cricket board president Rohan Jaitley confirmed.

The stadium was being used during IPL 2021 until May 2, before the cash rich league was indefinitely suspended. Rohan Jaitley wrote to the Delhi Government that in their facility 10,000 people can be vaccinated per day. They can use it till cricketing activity resumes. He got a reply that the chief secretary will look into the matter.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that the Covid-19 impact has lessened in the city, with the case positivity rate in the national capital dropping to 11 per cent.
