David Hockney's painting sold for record breaking $90m

British artist David Hockney's painting 'Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)' has been sold for over $ 90m. Sold at Christie's in New York, it broke the record for the highest sold painting by a living artist at an auction. The work was painted in 1972 and includes two compositions, one of a figure swimming under water and the other of a boy gazing at something on the ground.
