Crude slide continues, down over 12% from recent highs

Global crude prices slid by over 5% in overnight trade as more countries in Europe moved towards alockdown making the demand outlook bleak. 

Oil prices are now down over 12% from the recent high set on March 5. The Brent basket which India tracks is hovering around th $62/bbl mark. 

Both WTI and Brent crude logged their lowest front-month contract settlements since February.
