Cricket Australia confirmed on Friday that the planned one-off Test vs Afghanistan has been postponed. The game was scheduled to be held in Hobart from November 27.

The Aussie board was forced to take this call owing to Taliban government's opposition to women's cricket. Cricket Australia in a statement said that it looks forward to hosting Afghanistan players in the BBL this season and to hosting both the Afghanistan women’s and men’s team in the not too distant future.

Had the Test match went ahead as scheduled, it would have been the first between Australia and Afghanistan.
