India's coronavirus tally has crossed the 49 lakh-mark with 83,809 new infections reported in the last 24 hours. The contagion has claimed 1,054 more lives taking India's total death count past 80,000 mark. The country now has close to 10 lakh active cases while more than 38 lakh have so far recovered from the deadly infection. This is for the first time in 10 days that India's daily case load has dropped below 90,000.
