Andhra Pradesh has now become the second worst-affected Indian state due to coronavirus. With over 4.24 lakh Covid-19 cases, it has surpassed Tamil Nadu, which has reported over 4.16 lakh Covid-19 cases till now. Andhra Pradesh reported over 10,000 Covid-19 cases for the fifth straight day on Sunday. It is now behind only Maharashtra which remains the worst hit state. Andhra Pradesh has one of the highest Covid-19 test rates in India, conducting over 68,000 tests per million. The number of active cases in the state is now just short of the one-lakh mark.
