Indian Air Force officer’s 4 family members die if Covid-19 in 2 weeks

Four family members of an Indian Air Force officer from Pune died due to Covid-19 in the past two weeks, reports said on Sunday.

Arun Gaikwad, a superintendent with the Indian Air Force, lost his 38-year-old wife Vaishali, her brothers Rohit and Atul Jadhav, and mother-in-law Alka Jadhav after the family gathered on March 15 to perform rituals following the death of his father-in-law in January.

It was his 38-year-old brother-in-law Rohit who had cough and cold and tested positive for coronavirus. Gaikwad told PTI one by one another 17 members of his family including his wife tested positive.

While his wife didn’t get ICU bed and died on March 30, four days later Rohit passed away on April 3. A day later the virus took life of his 62-year-old mother-in-law and his other brother-in-law died on April 14.
