Counter-terrorism commandos have been deployed at the Air Force stations in Jammu and Srinagar, the Hindustan Times has reported.

The deployment of the highly trained anti-terror units comes on the heels of back to back encounters between militants and security forces in J&K.

According to Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar, 13 terrorists have been killed in 9 encounters since a series of targeted attack on civilians earlier this month. At least 7 civilians were killed in as many days in first week of October.
