NASA's Hubble Space Telescope is famous for capturing some of the most spell-binding space images. But that's not all, the space agency says that cosmic sights can be experienced through other senses as well!
The Hubble account explained in a caption that while there’s no sound in space, assigning pitches to stars and galaxies in this galaxy cluster image, for example, provides a new way to conceptualize its data.
Called Sonifications, these audio experiences allow audiences, including blind and visually impaired communities, to “hear” astronomical images.
