28 coaches of Indian Railways will be ready as ICU or Isolation Wards by 31 March, a unique attempt to fight coronavirus. Here is a look at the first prototype made by Northern Railways.


India has over 55,000 train coaches in service and right now an idle one at Kamakhya in Assam has been converted into a prototype isolation ward by Northern Railways. It modified idle rail coaches to shore up the country's need for isolation wards to combat Covid-19.
