Cong to probe post-note ban deposits if voted to power

Blaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi of destroying the economy through demonetisation, the Congress has said it will probe the post-note ban deposits in tax havens and Indian banks if voted to power. Citing the minutes of the RBI's central board of directors' meeting held just prior to Modi's announcement, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said a Gujarat bank which netted a very high amount of money and has BJP President Amit Shah director will also be probed.
